Charges of child neglect
Christopher Lynn Peterson Jr., 21, of Stroud and Georgia Elizabeth Goforth, 21, of Stroud are charged with child neglect.
According to the affidavit filed by Stroud Police Officer Christopher Hyde, on Dec. 18, Stroud Police Captian Jimmie Ahrend, Stroud Police Officer Shawn Stewart and Officer Hyde were dispatched to assist Department of Human Services worker Emily Younger with a welfare check on a child, referred to as O.O.
They met the guardian of the child at the temporary residence and waited for Peterson and Goforth to come back so they could observe the permanent residence of O.O, according to the affidavit.
When Peterson and Goforth showed up they went, along with Younger and Officers Hyde and Stewart to the permanent residence, according to the affidavit.
“While pulling into the driveway I noticed there to be numerous hazardous items in the front yard and around the home,” Hyde said in the affidavit. “Those items included scrapped vehicles, loose wiring, trash and debris and animal feces.”
Upon entering the house there was animal feces in the entryway and scattered throughout the house, holes in the wall exposing wiring, water damage and holes in the floor, furniture flipped over and trash everywhere, according to the affidavit.
Peterson said they have no heat or air and rely on space heaters to keep warm and Goforth said they only had a small toaster oven to cook food with, according to the affidavit.
The master bedroom, where Peterson and Goforth stated they slept with the child, was in complete disarray with trash, vehicle parts and loose wiring, according to the affidavit.
According to the affidavit, the bed that O.O had been sleeping in appeared to be a child’s playpen with a large amount of blankets inside as well as some trash.
Peterson and Goforth filed their $10,000 bonds and had their initial appearance Jan 30. They will be back in court for the pre-preliminary hearing Apr. 2 at 1:30 p.m.
Nasalroad charged with kidnapping
Lisa Dawn Nasalroad, 46, of Stillwater is charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault and battery.
According to the affidavit filed by Lincoln County Deputy Sheriff Kevin Roe, on Nov. 25, Nasalroad showed up at Jena and James Martin’s residence and texted Jena “you had to get out here now or I’ll start sending pics to your husband.”
Jena went outside to the car window to talk to Nasalroad who then prompted her to get in the car. Jena did, thinking they were just going to talk, but Nasalroad immediately put the car in drive and started speeding, according to the affidavit. According to the affidavit, every time Jena tried to calm Nasalroad down, she would just become more upset and hostile.
At one point while driving at a high rate of speed, Nasalroad said “I should just kill us both now,” according to the affidavit.
Nasalroad stopped at the intersection of 760 and 3350 Road and told Jena to get out.
According to the affidavit, Nasalroad tried to back into her then took off slinging gravel at her.
While Jena was standing there trying to process everything, a girl she knew from her business drove up and gave her a ride to where she could get her phone and call her husband, according to the affidavit. James Martin called the Lincoln County Comm Center to report the incident.
