July 4th Celebrations

Listed below are the towns in our coverage area and their plans for a firework show to celebrate the 244th anniversary of the declaration of our independance.

There will be no 4th of July celebration in Agra or Carney this year.

Chandler’s celebration will take place July 4, at Bell Cow Lake starting at sundown. The fireworks will be shot off by the Chandler Fire Department but the event is put on by Chandler’s Chamber of Commerce.

Davenport’s Celebration this year will be held on July 4, right off of Highway 66, next door to Tammy’s Round Up café. The event will begin around 5:30 p.m. and will be put on by Davenport’s Chamber of Commerce.

McCloud’s firework show will take place July 11 at 10 p.m. during the Blackberry Festival located at Veteran’s Memorial park (6th and Park St.).

Meeker’s celebration will be on July 3, at Meeker Lake. There will be festivities throughout the day, leading up to the firework show at around 9 p.m. The event is being put on by Meeker’s Chamber of Commerce.

Prague’s celebration will be held on July 4, near Bluebell road between Highway 62 and 15th street. The event will begin around 10 p.m. and is being put on by both the City of Prague and the city’s Chamber of Commerce.

Stroud’s Celebration will be held July 4, at Foster Park, with fireworks starting around sundown. The event will be sponsored and put on by the City of Stroud and Grand River Dam.

The City of Wellston will not be having an organized celebration of the 4th of July, but will be allowing the use of fireworks in city limits starting on the 3rd and ending on the 4th. On July 18, there will be the Deep Fork Festival that will include a firework show that night.
