A pedestrian was reportedly killed on the Turner Turnpike early Sunday morning four miles west of Chandler in Lincoln County.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Eliasar Seijo, who investigated the collision, identified the man who died as Ian Spann, 19, of Sapupla. The trooper stated Spann was pronounced dead on the scene due to massive injuries sustained in the collision.
Seijo said the collision occurred at around 2:02 a.m. at the 162 mile marker. He said driver of vehicle No. 1, a 2014 Nissan Altima, was Katherine Donaldson, 21, of Enid and driver of vehicle No. 2, a 2011 GMC Acadia, was Jarrett Warwick, 21, Amarillo, Texas.
Seijo reported condition of both drivers at the time of the collision was apparently normal.
Seat belts were equipped in both vehicles and in use by both drivers, the trooper stated.
What happened is listed as under investigation. Cause of collision was also listed as under investigation. Seijo, of Troop YB, was assisted by Trooper Smith, the Wellston Police, EMS and Fire Department and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
