Splash pad open

The splash pad next to the city pool in Chandler is now open. This project was funded and created by the Chandler Lions club, The Chandler Chamber of Commerce and Chandler City Hall, as seen pictured above. The pad will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is free of charge.

The water is also constantly purified and chlorinated according to previous president of the Lions club, George Hicks. The cost of this project was $289,000. The city received a 50/50 percent grant from the Oklahoma State Department of Parks and Retraction for $145,000. The Chandler Lions raised $40,000 and the city paid $130,000.
