1. Update on COVID-19
We had to lock the front door at City Hall again due to the high danger of the Corona virus.
The State numbers for the virus are skyrocketing. City Hall is still open and accepting payments through the payment slot in front of City Hall, online payment or payment at Vision Bank.
2. Update on Glenncrest Park
We are ready for delivery of the playground sets, borders, swings, and mulch. The delivery date was to be July 27th but the factory called and delayed shipment until the first to the middle of August. Ugg!! Hurry up and wait again. A lot of preparation has been done at the park getting ready.
3. Police Department Update
The Meeker Police Department and Government officials conducted a drug search and seizure on Decker Street. Goodbye to those people and never come back!
4. The entire month of July is Ice Cream month, so enjoy!
5. Watch for Whiskey Wings B.B.Q. party August 1st. He is advertising a band, bike show and free chicken. Go check it out. The Shed also opens on this date.
6. Our Governor Stitt has not been wearing a mask and he tested positive for COVID-19.
Maybe we ought to wear our masks. Please continue social distancing @ 6 feet, washing hands a lot, sanitizing everything.
7. Thanks again to everyone for making your purchases here in town. The town also receives credit for your online purchases delivered to Meeker.
8. Stay hydrated and try your best to stay out of the sun and use the correct sun blocker when you do have to go out in the sun.
9. Meeker Lake Project update
We are still waiting on the report from the camera inspection on the water pipe line to the concrete water tower in Meeker Lake.
10. Update on Growth and Development
The Pumpkin Festival was the main discussion with many new fun activities discussed. Hopefully COVID will not affect the scheduled date of October 3rd. Stay Tuned.
