Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee conferred degrees upon 277 students during the University’s 107th Spring Commencement, held in five separate ceremonies Friday, May 14, and Saturday, May 15.
The ceremonies took place in Raley Chapel’s Potter Auditorium on OBU’s campus.
OBU President Dr. Heath A. Thomas presided over the ceremonies and delivered the charge to graduates.
Candidates for bachelor’s degrees from OBU’s Paul Dickinson College of Business with academic majors and hometowns included Patty J. Bagwell, computer information systems, Meeker and Anthony J. Gorum, professional accountancy, Chandler.
From the Warren M. Angell College of Fine Arts, candidates for bachelor’s degrees included Rachel Elizabeth Darvin, piano performance-pedagogy emphasis, Stroud.
Candidates for bachelor’s degrees from OBU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences included Mikayla Danielle Brannam, elementary education, Chandler; Kasidee Norton, elementary education, Meeker; Tyler Justin Smothers, English, Meeker; and Grace Young, camp administration, Chandler.
Candidates for bachelor’s degrees from OBU’s College of Nursing all majoring in nursing were Colin Feltman, Prague; Rachel Keith, Davenport; and Charity Jene Rickner, Chandler.
Candidates for bachelor’s degrees from the James E. Hurley College of Science and Mathematics included Riley N. Bagwell, biochemistry, Meeker.
