Sheila Ann Day departed this life surrounded by family on June 21, 2021 in Stroud, Okla., at the age of 67 years. She was born to LaVonna Mayfield and Jack McKnight on August 28, 1953 in Stillwater, Okla.
Sheila grew up locally around Lincoln County. She graduated from Tryon High School. Sheila worked as a CNA for over 30 years at Stroud Health Care Center, she loved getting to help people and take care of them. Sheila’s biggest love was family, she was very proud of all of them. She enjoyed a good word search if she had the time. Sheila was a kind and loving person.
Sheila is preceded in death by her father Jack McKnight, mother LaVonna Mehan; brother Bill McKnight; grandchildren Makenzie Beaver and Hayden Tipton.
Sheila is survived by her daughter Michelle Wyre and husband Justin; daughter Melissa Bryant and husband Jeremiah; son Kevin Day and wife Julia; daughter Kristy Thompson and husband James; son John Tipton and wife Jennifer; daughter Marlene Tucker; grandchildren Dillan, Heather, Caleb, Luke, Abigail, Kristen, Jace, Anna, Andrew, Taylor, Gabriella, Lane, Lacey, Jaylie, Kaden and Kyla; great grandchild Cash Dean; sister Lujuana Hamilton and husband Stewart; sister Jana Somers and husband Gary; brother John Mehan and wife Sandra; and numerous nieces and nephews other extended family and friends.
Funeral services were Friday, June 25, 2021 at Davenport First Baptist Church with burial following at Davenport Cemetery. Condolences may be offered online at www.parksbrothers.net. Care Services were provided by Parks Brothers Funeral Services in Chandler.
