A bench warrant issued for a Wellston area man has been returned and filed and his initial appearance is set for next month.
Keith Allan Watkins, 45, was formally charged on April 30 in Lincoln County District with domestic abuse-assault and battery.
A $5,000 bond had been issued for Watkins on the same day charges were filed. The warrant was returned and filed on May 5.
A judge scheduled his initial appearance for 1:30 p.m. on June 3.
On June 3, Special Judge Emily Mueller scheduled a pre-preliminary hearing for 1:30 p.m. July 1.
The judge has set the matter to be taken up 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 12.
Watkins is accused of the felony charge for shoving Angela Watkins, his wife, on Dec. 21, 2020, in Lincoln County.
In supplemental information filed by prosecutors, Watkins, on May 21, 2020, was convicted of Domestic Assault and Battery and sentenced to two years imprisonment, deferred.
