Drug arrest in Meeker

A Norman woman has been charged with illegally trafficking drugs following her arrest by Meeker police earlier this month.

Mitizi Blayne Williams, 44, was arrested July 3 by Meeker Police Officer Raymond Mackin. Formal charges were filed July 9 in Lincoln County District Court of trafficking in illegal drugs, a felony.

She also faces four other misdemeanor counts.

Associate District Judge Sheila Kirk set a $75,000 bond for Williams. During her initial appearance on July 12, the judge scheduled a pre-preliminary hearing for 1:30 p.m. Aug. 12.

The felony accuses Williams of possessing 42.8 grams of methamphet amine on July 3 this year. If convicted, she could be imprisoned for no more than 20 years with the Department of Corrections and pay a fine of between $25,000 and $200,000.

Count 2 charges her with possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, being in possession of marijuana without a medical marijuana card.

Williams is also charged with driving without a valid driver’s license by driving her Chevy sedan on North Dawson Street in Meeker without first obtaining a valid color photo Oklahoma driver’s license.

In Count 4, Williams is accused of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia by possessing a meth pipe and nine hypodermic syringes which is used by abusers of drugs classified as a Controlled Dangerous Substance and without having any medical or other lawful need requiring possession of the paraphernalia.

The fourth misdemeanor charges her with driving while under the influence of drugs by driving her vehicle on North Dawson in Meeker while under the influence of an intoxicating substance.
