At a recent meeting, American Legion Matheny-Burt-Parrott Post 64 dedicated the main hall of their building as Gene Chase Hall. Amos (Gene) Chase was a member of Post 64 for 66 years and was the Post Chaplain for 28 years, as well as holding numerous other offices at Post 64 during his lifetime. A dinner was held for family and friends, and was well attended, as Gene was very well known in the Chandler community. David Bandell, current Post Commander, and James Keene, past post commander, hold the sign designating Gene Chase Hall.
