A funeral service will be held for Helen Arrington of Stroud at 10 a.m., Friday, September 24, 2021, at United Pentecostal Churc h in Stroud. Pastor Greg Jones will officiate and burial will follow at Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Stroud.
Arrington was born October 6, 1926, in Stroud and died Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the age of 94 years.
A 1944 graduate of Stroud High School, she received a nursing degree in 1947 in Alexandria, La. She worked as a nurse and a nursing home inspector.
She was preceded in death by her parents Wilbur and Opal (Hulsey) Harmon, her husband Wesley L. Arrington, brother Neal Harmon and sister Gayle Crowe.
Survivors include her son Patrick Sparrow, daughter Elizabeth Halgren, brother Vernon Harmon and other family and friends.
