Gene Dillon Pyle was born February 21, 1930, in Stonington, Ill. He died Friday, September 24, 2021, in Chandler at the age of 91 years.
The son of Henry and Ida (Clayborn) Pyle, he married Lois Baratta in 1950.
He worked for a trucking company and as a prison guard in the state prison in Joliet, Ill., before become a long-haul truck driver with his wife. They retired to Carney.
His parents and his sister preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife Lois Pyle of the home; his children, Darla Placencia of Illinois, Gary Pyle of West Virginia, and Julitta Gillbert and husband Gregory of Illinois; four granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; his brother Howard Pyle of Illinois; and other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with arrangements under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
