Officials at Seminole State College announced that 34 students were recently inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society for Two-Year Colleges. The induction ceremony was conducted virtually. Oklahoma State Senator Zack Taylor served as the event’s guest speaker.
Students from Lincoln County inducted at the ceremony were Andrew Terrell, Kylie Pickard and Lauren Root, all from Prague and Maggie Neu from Stroud.
Students were selected based on their scholarship, leadership and commitment to community. Requirements for membership in the honor society include enrollment at an accredited two-year college with a Phi Theta Kappa chapter and an overall grade point average of 3.5 with a minimum of 12 credit hours completed.
