Riley Randall and Braxton Bussell finished first and third at the Class 3A cross country regional in Enid Saturday, leading Meeker’s boys to a state-qualifying performance.
Randall, the defending state champion, turned in a 17:09, the fastest qualifying time at any of the three regionals. He ran 16:43.09 to win the title last year.
Bussell, who took eighth at state in 2020, ran 17:40.4, a full second better than his time last year at state.
The state meet will be Saturday at Edmond Santa Fe high School.
Class 3A girls will begin at noon and Class 3A boys at 12:20 P.M.
Class 2A girls will run at 1:20 p.m. and Class 2A boys at 1:40.
Class 4A girls run at 2:35 and Class 4A boys at 2:55.
