Prague boy is state royalty

Seth Pruett of Prague was crowned the new Oklahoma Czech-Slovak Prince at Yukon’s Czech Festival earlier this month. The 10-year-old son of James and Melinda Pruett competed in a stage interview and modeling the Kroj, which is the Czech and Slovak traditional dress.

As the new prince, Seth received Czech Garnet Jewelry, $100 Visa gift card, a portrait session, Swiss Army knife, engraved keepsake box, magnetic car signs, and a trophy, crown, sash, garment bag and boutonniere. Also included in the winnings was free admission for parents for one year at the Yukon Czech Hall and lifetime membership in Oklahoma Czechs, Inc.

Seth, as part of the Oklahoma Czech-Slovak Royalty, will represent and promote the Oklahoma Czechs Inc. at many special events, dances, parades and festivals across the region.
