Although the Chandler Public Library will be closed Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 23-25 for the Christmas holiday their food drive continues through Friday, Jan. 14, 2022.
Non-perishable food items will be collected at the library through that date. Fines will be waived for previously returned overdue books or for overdue books returned along with the food items. This does not apply to lost book fees. All food donations will be accepted even if you don’t have a fine.
The food will be donated to God’s House of Prayer for their outdoor food cabinet.
Normal library hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon. The library is at the corner of 11th and Manvel in Chandler.
