Marie Katheren (Quick) Roe was born May 17, 1928, in Wirt, Okla. She died Monday, January 17, 2022, in Stroud at the age of 93 years.
Roe, the daughter of Floyd S. Quick and Clara Grisham Quick, married Bill Roe of Cushing, Okla., on October 13, 1956.
She graduated from Dundee High School in Healdton, Okla., and worked for Thompson’s Pontiac and Shell Pipeline. She was involved at First Baptist Church of Agra and later at Trinity Baptist Church in Bristow, Okla.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; two sisters, Florence Mossman and Rosa Haines; and one brother, Raymond Quick.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Louise and Eldon Gordon of Stroud, Johnny and Shelby Roe of Blanchard, Okla., and Harold Roe of Franklin, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her sister Wilma Tomlinson of Guymon, Okla., and brother Wilbert Quick of Ardmore, Okla.; and other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Agra Public School Gymnasium with Care Services provided by Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
