Gerald Leon Cooper was born September 22, 1942, in Reno, Nev., and died Thursday, April 28, 2022, in Meeker. He was 79 years old. Cooper worked in the oilfield as a tool pusher.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Velma Jean Cooper; his wife Della C ooper; one son, Dwayne Cooper and daughter, Viola Cooper. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Vetha and Orb Newby of Meeker; his son Don Cooper of North Carolina; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
A private service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
