Erma Anderson, age 90, died July 15, 2022, surrounded by her family at her daughter, Anita, and son-in-law, Dondi’s home in Perkins, Okla.
Erma was born on Oct. 17, 1931 in Cherryville, Miss. to Otto and Martha Pyatt.
She met Ray Anderson and they married shortly after on Sept.8, 1951 in Salem, Ark. They spent most of their years together in Lincoln County, Okla.
Erma was a homemaker, and also babysat her grandchildren and some of her friends’ children.
Erma was baptized into the Church of the Firstborn in 1976.
Erma was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ray; her parents, Otto and Martha; son, Steve; three brothers, Troy, Ken, and Claud; and two sisters, Imajean and Marie.
She is survived by daughter, Janet Herrmann and husband, Arthur; daughter, Anita Earnest and husband, Dondi; son, Gary Anderson; five grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Leo and Garland Pyatt; one brotherin-law, Elvin Anderson; and two sisters-in-law, Helen and Mary Pyatt.
A funeral was held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at the Church of the Firstborn in Chandler with interment following in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
