Local historians Sally Ferrell and Susan Morton join Toni Riner, right, daughter of Peggy Walker, as she cuts the ribbon welcoming the return of the two historical jail cells on the evening of July 28th just outside of the 911 emergency center. Originally located in the basement of the old Chandler courthouse, the cells were saved from destruction by Peggy Walker in the 1960s during remodeling and are now back on site after decades of moving around the county. Addtional members of the project Howard Dicman and Dee Douglas (above photo) join them, in recognition of this ceremony adding yet another historical mark to Chandler. Photos/Stephanie Woolsey
