A Chandler couple has been charged with sex-related crimes to a minor following their arrests earlier this month by Lincoln County deputies.
Formal charges were filed in Lincoln County District Court on Sep. 21 against Robert Wayne Lowe, 41, and Destiny Ann Lowe, 39.
Robert Lowe faces three counts of lewd acts to a child under 12 years old and Destiny Lowe was charged with enabling child sexual abuse.
Robert Lowe also has been charged with fourth degree arson and Destiny Lowe has been granted an EPO against Robert Lowe.
Robert Lowe appeared beforeAssociate District Judge Sheila Kirk on Sep. 12 and she set his bond at $50,000. He made his initial appearance on Sep. 26.
Special Judge Emily Mueller scheduled his prepreliminary hearing for 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 13.
Destiny Lowe appeared before Judge Kirk on Sep. 16. The judge set her bond at $50,000.
She made her initial appearance before Special Judge Emily Mueller on Sep. 22. Judge Mueller scheduled her pre-preliminary hearing for 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 13.
According to a probably cause affidavit filed in the case, Lincoln County Deputy Sheriff Cody Coleman was notified about a social media post and he began an investigation.
Deputy Coleman was later joined in the probe by Lincoln County Detective George Kelly Coleman, Deputies Jimmy Brown and Shawn Stewart, Vanessa Parsons with the One Safe Place Center and the Department of Human Services.
Deputies learned the DHS already had an open case going in the matter.
Robert Lowe, in the fourth degree arson case, is accused on Sep. 11 of attempting to set fire or burn a truck owned by Destiny Lowe by pouring lighter fluid, gasoline or some other ignitable fluid on the truck.
His pre-preliminary hearing in that case is scheduled at the same time as the other charges and his bond on the arson charge was set at $50,000.
On Sep. 12, Judge Muller issued an Emergency Protective Order against Robert Lowe after Destiny Lowe had filed it that same day.
