Then, on Saturday afternoon, Cinderella came to life as the Dale Pirates won the Class A fall baseball state tournament in Oklahoma City. The Pirates were the eighth seed in the eight-team tournament, but hammered a who’s who list of baseball powers, beating Rattan, 6-3, Byng, 12-2, and Silo, 18-11, to win their 11th fall state championship and 22nd overall.
