COEDD Area Agency on Aging is hosting a Medicare Part D Check-Up and Enrollment Event in Chandler to educate Medicare beneficiaries and/or family members about the 2023 prescription drug coverage options and to help compare and enroll participants in a plan. Many times, switching plans can save you money. The Enrollment Fair will be held at the Chandler Public Library located at 1021 Manvel Avenue in Chandler on Monday, November 7th from 9am to 4pm. People who attend will need to bring their Medicare card and a detailed current prescription list that includes exact medication name and dosage. If you are currently enrolled in a Medicare prescription drug plan, bring your current card.
This event is intended for seniors who need to sign up for Part D for the first time, as well as for those who need to review their current plan to be sure it is the most beneficial one for them. Each year plans change their premiums and what they cover, so it is encouraged to review your coverage each year. Remember, this is the only time of year that Part D changes can be made.
You will also be screened for “Extra Help”. Medicare beneficiaries with limited income and resources may qualify for “Extra Help” which can help reduce your costs including monthly premiums, annual deductibles, and prescription copayments. Many people qualify and don’t even know it.
