A bench warrant has been issued for a Wellston man on a felony charge after he has failed to register as a violent offender.
A formal charge of Violation of the Mary Rippy Violent Crime Registration Act was filed April 24 in Lincoln County District Court against Chad Ray Mullendore, 38.
The bench warrant was issued the same day the charge was filed.
Mullendore is accused between Feb. 15, 2023 and April 13, 2023 of not complying with the provisions of the Mary Rippy Violent Crime Registration Act as he was convicted in Lincoln County District Court on June 15, 2018 of Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon. The information further states Mullendore failed to comply with the provisions of the Act by not verifying his address with local law enforcement and the Department of Corrections.
Assistant District Attorney Kelly Trimble also filed supplemental information showing that Mullendore was convicted in Pottawatomie County District Court on Aug. 8, 2018 of the felony offense of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
