Meeker Town Board of Trustees during their most recent meeting approved a supplemental budget, accepted a coupe of resignations and agreed to fill one of those positions.
The supplemental budget totals $122,296 and includes ARPA funds received, COEDD grants and a donation from the Gilcrease Foundation.
The ARPA funds total $36,000, one COEDD grant is for $52,826, the other a $15,000 REAP grant, and the Gilcrease donation is $18,470.
Expenses include $18,470 for police expense and golf cart, $36,000 for a police unit and expenses for the unit, $52,826 for street repair and $15,000 for a fire truck deposit.
Trustees also approved two new computers for city hall in the amount of $3,846 for the Town Clerk and Town Administrator.
After spending a short time in executive session, Trustees returned to open meeting and approved the resignation of parttime Police Officer Marshall Jones.
They then voted to not fill the position at this time, but keep it available for the future.
Meeting as the Public Works Authority and without going into executive session, the Trustees voted to accept the resignation of Diana Rodgers, grant administrator and office assistant.
They agreed to fill the position of grant administrator and office assistant.
The Trustees approved the notice of award and agreement for a water system improvements project with Sunrise Construction, LLC with the overrun contingent on USDA’s concurrence and additional funding.
It’s related to damage caused by the 2021 ice storm.
They approved the notice of award and agreement for an Oklahoma Water Resources Board REAP grant water system improvements project with Sunrise Construction, LLC. Trustees also approved the notice of award and agreement for an Oklahoma Rural WaterAssociation infrastructure grant for water system improvements with Sunrise Construction, LLC.
They approved an invoice for $4,800 with Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC for the first project; an invoice for $2,675 with Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC for the second project and an invoice of $9,040 with that group on the third project.
Trustees also approved the purchase of two new computers for city hall in the amount of $3,494 for PWA clerk and office assistant.
