The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into a shooting that injured two teens, still seeking to identify two suspects.
The two teenagers were reportedly injured in a shooting north of Chandler just before midnight on Aug. 11.
Three women who were initially arrested on felony charges, though they are not believed to be involved in the shooting, have now been charged with misdemeanors.
Lincoln County Sheriff Sgt. Aaron Bennett said the Sheriff’s Office still has an ongoing investigation and they haven’t been able to identify two persons they believe are responsible for the shooting.
He said the Sheriff’s Office was dispatched just before midnight to a call of shots fired north of Chandler off of 860 Road. He said two juveniles were taken by vehicle to the Cushing Emergency room with non-life threatening injuries.
Bennett said names of the two teens shot are being withheld because they are minors.
He identified the three arrested as Ashlyn Marie Robinson, 20, Janet Katelynn Nichole Hyde, 20, and Angela Elida Dawn Lopez, 23, all of Chandler.
Each of the three women was charged on Aug. 16 in Lincoln County District Court with permitting invitees under 21 to possess or consume alcohol or CDS.
Lopez appeared before Associate District Judge Sheila Kirk on Aug. 14 and her bond was set at $3,000. She is to return Aug. 24 for an initial appearance.
Bonds for Hyde and Robinson have been set at $5,000 each and their initial appearances also are on Aug. 24.
Bennett asks people having any information on the shooting to call Lincoln County Communications, 405258-9933 and they may remain anonymous.
Bennett said people may leave an anonymous tip at www.lincolncountysheriffok.gov under the resources tab.
