School elections for Lincoln County voters

Early voting on bond proposals in the McLoud and Luther School Districts for voters who reside in Lincoln County opens today, Sep. 7 and will also be held on Friday, Sep. 8.

Those voting next Tuesday, Sep. 12, must cast their ballots at their respective precincts.

Lincoln County Election Board Secretary Melissa Stambaugh explained early voting is available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Lincoln County Courthouse located at 811 Manvel Avenue, Chandler. She reminds voters that early voting is not available at polling locations.

In the McLoud School District, voters will cast ballots on two propositions and those in the Luther School District have a single bond issue.

Proposition No. 1 in McLoud totals $18,475,000 and is to be used with or without other funds to provide funds for the purpose of improving or acquiring school sites, constructing, repairing, remodeling school buildings and acquiring school furniture, fixtures and equipment.

Proposition No. 2 totals $1,100,000 and is to provide funds for the purpose of acquiring transportation equipment, including auxiliary transportation equipment. It could also be used for lease purpose arrangements.

Luther voters have one proposition and it totals $43,210,000. It’s to be used for the purpose of constructing, equipping, repairing and remodeling school buildings and acquiring school furniture, fixtures and equipment and acquiring and improving school sites.
