County Road 3330 will be closed between SH-66 in Wellston and County Rd. 930 today through early August as part of ongoing construction work to prepare this area for a local detour route ahead of an expected year-long closure of SH-66. Motorists may use County Rd. 930 to County Rd. 3340 to access SH-66 during this closure.
The reconstruction of the I-44/Turner Turnpike bridge over SH-66 will require the nearly year-long closure of SH-66 between US-177 and SH-102 in Wellston.
Reconstruction of County Rd. 930 and County Rd. 3340 are now complete as they along with County Rd. 3330 will serve as part of the locally signed detour during the closure.
The full closure of SH-66 is expected to occur in late summer 2024, weather permitting This is the third ACCESS Oklahoma long-range plan project to begin construction in 2024 with work expected to complete in summer 2025, weather permitting.
The $48 million project was awarded to Sherwood Construction Co. Inc. of Tulsa. The OTA project is in partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, the Town of Wellston and Lincoln County.
