The Chandler School Board approved several personnel changes at its meeting on July 14, including the appointment of new principals for the junior high and high school.
The board approved the resignations of Geoff Metheny as high school principal, Shay Rackley as secondary online curriculum teacher and Miranda Smith as Title VI tutor. They then approved Todd Gragg as junior high principal, Freddie Hall as high school principal, Metheny as the secondary online curriculum teacher, Francine Sanderson as a special education teacher and Ashley Kuczinski as the Title VI tutor.
Other actions were approving a request to the State Department of Education to have the 2025-26 school year based on 1,086 hours and 166 days of instruction, a memorandum of understanding with the Lincoln County Partnership for Child Well Being for the 2025-26 school year, and a contract with the Department of Rehabilitative Services.
The Board also authorized Superintendent Scott Baade to act as the school district’s purchasing agent and the agent for food commodities, national school lunch and milk programs, and the filing of all other records as required by the U.S. Department of Education.
The Board additionally discussed compliance with the Children’s Internet Protection Act for FY 2026 and approved the Special Services Agreement with Crossroads Youth and Family Services Co-op Head Start.
They also approved the request for the deregulation of library staffing at East Side, Park Road and the secondary libraries, the encumbrance for 12-month employees and summer help for FY26, and the extra duty schedule for the 202526 school year.
