Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC) is sponsoring two students from Prague to attend Energy Camp this summer.
Ethan Ziegler and Hank Shelbourne were selected to attend Energy Camp at Camp Canyon in Hinton from May 26 to 28. It is a hands-on experience designed to teach students about leadership, teamwork and cooperative spirit, according to a press release from CVEC. Students from across Oklahoma will attend and learn about the electric cooperative industry and participate in leadership development activities through workshops and outdoor challenges.
“We (CVEC) believe empowering young people is one of the most meaningful ways to support the communities we serve,” said Kaci Dennis, communications coordinator for CVEC. “By sponsoring students to attend Energy Camp, we are investing in their personal growth while helping shape the leaders of tomorrow.”
The release said CVEC is proud of Ziegler and Shelbourne for being selected and looks forward to seeing all they accomplish in the future.
