Psi Master chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, Stroud, joined thousands of members throughout the world to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the organization on April 30, 1931. It was also the 47th anniversary of the chartering of the local chapter. Beta Sigma Phi is a women’s organization with an emphasis on friendships and learning by requiring members to present programs on any subject they choose, to serve their communities with a variety of service projects, and to promote women and give them an opportunity to serve, learn, and enjoy socials and events with other members.
The 2026 International theme, “Angels of Friendship,” was used with tables decorated with angel vases with yellow roses, later given as door prizes.
The chairmen of the event were Kim Johnson and Pam Hunt.
A catered dinner was served, followed by the welcome, introduction of members of the Bristow chapter who were special guests, and the repeating of the Founder’s Day Pledge. Highlights of theYear were given by Cindy Mason.
Perfect attendance was recognized with pins given to Kim Johnson, Pam Hunt, Sue Helms, Destiny Jackson, Chris Hodge and Darlene Lau.
Outgoing Officers were given officer pins in appreciation of their service.
Program of the Year was awarded to Michelle Doherty and Davina Mc-Gee for their program, “I’m Awesome, You’re Awesome,” and they were given Program of the Year pins and a certificate of recognition. New member, Nancy Stephenson, was honored as Pledge of the Year and given a gift and certificate.
Those achieving membership milestones received new degrees in candlelight ceremonies and new pins signifying the new status, along with a yellow rose, the official flower of the organization. Those being honored were Nancy Stephenson, who received the Ritual of the Jewels; Pam Hunt and Kim Johnson were honored with the Laureate degree and crowned with a laurel wreath.
The highlight of the evening was the naming of the 2026WomanoftheYearby the previous winner, Chris Hodge.Two members were honored and received a Woman of the Year trophy and a pin. Destiny Jackson was recognized for her dedication to the chapter as anewmemberandforserving as treasurer. Long-time member, Pam Clement, was recognized for faithfully serving as scrapbook chair for many years and official photographer.
Pam Hunt announced that 60-year member and chapter organizer, Sandra Jones, would be recognized for the milestone of membership for her enduring dedication to the aims and ideals of Beta Sigma Phi, life, learning and friendship. She was honored with the Diamond Circle ceremony and presented a certificate and a 60-year pin.
Pam Hunt and Kim Johnson announced the new annual theme, “Sisters Light the World,” with a lighted globe with every country with a chapter marked.
Bristow members honored Preceptor degree recipient, Debi Chapman, in a candlelight ceremony read by Elizabeth Monzingo.
The evening concluded with dessert, door prizes and a Secret Sister gift exchange. Attending were Sue Helms, Kim Johnson, Sandy Jones, Pam Hunt, Chris Hodge, Davina Mc-Gee, Destiny Jackson, Mary Jackson, Cindy Mason, Michelle Doherty, Darlene Lau, Pam Clement, Davina McGee and Andrea Thompson. The Bristow members present were Debi Chapman, Kim Dowdy,KimGilbert,Elizabeth Monzingo, and there were two special guests -- Judy Beuten of Denver, Colo., and Tiffany Williams of Okala, Fla.
