Joan Harriett Hicks was the fourth of ten children born to Cora MaeAmrine and Robert Clingdon Hicks of Tryon, OK. She was born on June 12, 1934, and passed away on June 22, 2026, achieving the age of 92.
She married Jimmie Martin on Sept. 1, 1951, while he was serving his country in the Army.
Joan is survived by two daughters, three brothers and a host of nieces and nephews in Oklahoma, NorthCarolinaandNewMexico.Sheisprecededin death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice.
A funeral was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2026, in the Lehman Funeral Home chapel, and interment followed at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery of Chandler. Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
