Harrah’s celebrates 100 days through donations

Harrah’s Oklahoma is celebrating it’s first 100 days in business by giving back to the community.

The casino recently donated 100 pet toys to the Lincoln County Animal Hospital and 100 books to the Chandler Public Library.

Harrah’s wanted to find a way to celebrate that they’ve hit 100 days and do something to reflect on what they’ve accomplished, said Director of Marketing Heather Jurgensen.

“And look forward to the future, finding ways to give back to the community,” she said. She added that, in general, Harrah’s wants to do more community volunteer work and give back.

“It’s a big part of the culture and just being a responsible community partner,” she said.

Jurgensen said Ceasars has a program that they are kicking off called the Hero Program. It stands for “Harrah’s Employees Reach Out,” and encourages team members to support local organziations and causes through volunteerism, fundraising and community engagement. The goal is to expand those efforts and create more opportunities for employees as well as building stronger partnerships with local nonprofits and community organizations.

“We’re really just starting to look into thins and tap into what is out there that could use our help and where we can best support,” she said.

Harrah’s Oklahoma is also starting to gear up now that they’ve hit 100 days, and is working on having more events and promotions, as well as seeing how they can best help.
