Prague FFA Chapter member Callie Roberts took first-place honors in the 2020 Oklahoma FFA Veterinary Science Proficiency Award area during the Oklahoma FFA Virtual Awards Ceremony on May 12.
Roberts, who works for the Prague Veterinary Clinic as a job shadow for the veterinarians, plans to study to become a veterinarian.
She has already gained experience in handling animals and preparing them for certain medical procedures. She says working at the clinic has helped her to balance priorities and realize how important her education is.
Roberts is the daughter of Cathi Skinner. Her agricultural education instructors and FFA advisors are Daniel Forsyth and Lee Stewart.
