Joe Raymond Molencupp

A memorial service will be held for Joe Raymond Molencupp at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Stroud First United Methodist Church. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.

Molencupp was born March 17, 1942, in Naylor, Mo., and died Sunday, April 5, 2020, in Stroud. He was 78 years old.

The son of Joseph and Jeanetta (Witcher) Molencupp, he married Barbara Jean VanBibber Baccus on October 24, 1979, in Jenks, Okla.

A graduate of Naylor High School, he earned his Masters of Divinity degree from Southern Methodist University. He was a minister and chaplain.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his brother John Molencupp and two sisters, Letha Berry and Dorothy Rawlins.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Molencupp of Stroud; his sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and LeeAnn Molencupp of Glenpool, Okla., and James and Darlene Molencupp of Corinth, Texas; his daughters and a son-in-law, Tammy and Paul Eller of Mounds, Okla., Dorothy Molencupp of Los Alamos, N.M., and Shelly Baccus of Tulsa, Okla.

He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; his brother and sister-in-law David and Linda Molencupp, his sister Ella Allen and his sister-in-law Carolyn Molencupp, all of Jenks; and other family and friends.
