Weather impact to crops

The coolness of this past May has made it a bit more difficult than usual to harvest various crops in both Lincoln and Pottawatomie Counties.

Although it has been a bit of a speed bump, the annual harvesting of wheat and hay should still be relatively unhindered going forward.

According to Oklahoma State University’s 4-H and Agriculture Educator Cody Linker, the biggest impact that this weather has had is on the Bermuda grass growth in Lincoln county.

“There’s been a little bit of a late start…but so far so good,” said Linker.
