Lincoln County Commissioners have adopted a resolution authorizing payment of Highway Cash Payroll and Benefits from the Use Tax Fund for the month of June.
During a special meeting on Monday of this week, they approved transferring $250,000 from the Use Tax Fund to a newly created account called USE Tax Highway Cash Personnel Services.
County Clerk Alicia Wagnon explained, “Any remaining funds after payroll is run will be returned to the Use Tax Fund.”
Commissioners have discussed for the last few months that utilizing Use Tax Funds might be necessary to cover Highway Cash Payroll and Benefits before the current fiscal year ends June 30.
But prior to Monday’s special meeting, they had not taken any action.
On another issue, the Commissioners adopted an Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority resolution and a schedule of fees.
The fees include $25 for a floodplain permit and $2,000 for a compliance certificate.
These are payable by cash, a cashier’s check or money order. The fees became effective immediately.
A Certificate of Appreciation was approved honoring Olabon Fouquet for his donation towards the construction of the Lincoln County Fair Barn East Wall and commissioners also declared June 15, 2020 as Olabon Fouquet Day.
Fouquet was not present.
On another agenda item, commissioners approved an ODOT form for the Kickapoo project in District 3.
