Meeker, Chandler residents injured in Pott Co. car crash

Eight persons were injured, including two critically, in a two-vehicle collision earlier this week on SH 3 west of Brangus Road east of Shawnee.

Four of the injured are from Meeker, one is from Chandler, two are from Shawnee and one resides in Seminole, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

The collision occurred about 3 p.m. Monday, OHP Trooper Adam Post said.

Post said driver of a 2018 Chevy Sonic was Deric Mitchell, 26, of Meeker. He was transported by REACT to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and admitted in fair condition with head, trunk internal, and external injuries.

A passenger, Lillie Grady, 20, of Meeker was transported by REACT to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, and admitted in fair condition with head, trunk internal and external injuries.

A second passenger, a two-month-old male of Meeker, was also transported by REACT to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and admitted in fair condition with leg, trunk internal, and external injuries, the trooper stated.

A third passenger, a 4-year-old female, of Meeker, was transported by Air Evac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where she was admitted in critical condition with leg, trunk internal, and external injuries, Post reported.

And a fourth passenger, Brandy Alexander, 30, of Chandler, was transported by REACT to OU Medical in Oklahoma City and admitted in fair condition with unknown injuries.

He also reported Mallory Potter, 29, Shawnee, was driver of a 2012 Dodge Charger. She was pinned in the vehicle before freed and was transported by REACT to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Shawnee before being taken to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City by REACT where she was admitted in critical condition with leg, trunk internal and external injuries.

Two passengers in her vehicle, Timmy Potter, 29, of Shawnee, and a 17-year-old juvenile from Seminole were transported to Saint Anthony’s Hospital in Shawnee and both reportedly were treated and released.

The trooper said what happened, condition of both drivers at the time of the collision and cause of the wreck are all under investigation.
