In addition to their declaration of an emergency, the Lincoln County Commissioners took these actions during their regular commissioners meeting:
Commissioners and other officials discussed disbursement of CARES Act reimbursement to Lincoln County. After talking about it, they decided to take no action until they have a total figure.
Commissioners approved a 2021 Safe Oklahoma Grant for the Sheriff’s Department.
Lincoln County Sheriff Charlie Dougherty said after the meeting, “It’s a $15,000 overtime grant. It’s for deputies to work overtime in high crime areas. We’ve been able to get this grant for the past three years and it works great for us.”
The commissioners approved a Mutual Cooperation Agreement with the Town of Wellston.
They also took no action on opening, discussing or awarding a bid for grading, draining and surfacing EW 74 Rd. from U.S. 177 and extending east 2.3 miles.
Lincoln County Clerk Alicia Wagnon advised commissioners that “some of the bidders didn’t get their bids in on time due to last week’s ice storm.” She further informed them a special commissioners meeting will be needed for Nov. 9 to handle that.
Commissioners approved including a service line from the courthouse generator to the server and to the Election Board. Wagnon told them, “We had to shut down the server completely when we lost power last week.”
They approved a form for payment from ODOT to Smith and Roberts Land Services for the Kickapoo Street project in District 3.
Commissioners agreed to safety bonuses to county employees as previously discussed. They also approved the commissioner meeting schedule and holiday schedule for Calendar Year 2021.
