Updates from Meeker Town Hall

1. Update on Glenncrest Park

A. A new water line ditch has been dug for new pavilion and flower beds at entrance into park.

B. The new water line is partially installed.

C. Sand is being spread to level lot for new concrete parking area.

D. Looks like nice weather again for a couple of weeks, maybe we can get all this done.

E. New 12’ x 21’ pavilion is to arrive around the 1st week of November.

2. Update on Light Up the Park

A. Plans are being made by individuals, business, churches and others to have a celebration in Homestead Park before and after the December 5th 6:00 p.m. parade.

B. Planned activities are for the months of December and January. Check with Debbie Williams for your spot. Call her at 405-496- 1705.

3. Update on Round Up Club

A. Come enjoy Festival of the Lights parade December 5th approx. 6:00 PM.

B. Come to City Hall, see Santa and get your goodie bag of fruit and candles. Then go back over to Homestead Park for more activities.

4. Update on City Hall

A. The Emergency Management Director, Wendi Marcy, sent out an email advising a municipality closure for October 27th and 28th. Ice power outage was the reason for closure.

B. Please place your broken limbs out by the curb and we will get to them as soon as we can borrow a woodchipper from Prague or Chandler.

C. You may also cut all tree limbs in 4 feet lengths, 3 inches in diameter, bundled, tied, and weigh less than 50 lbs and Central Disposal will pick them up on Bulk Trash Day, which is on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
