Lincoln County Commissioners during a special meeting Monday opened bids on a road project and referred them to the engineer for tabulation.
County Clerk Alicia Wagnon said three bids were opened on extending EW 740 Road 2.3 miles east from U.S. 177 in Lincoln County.
The bids included: Haskell Lemon, $2,857, 226; H&G Paving Contractors, $2,960,851.27; and TJ Campbell, $2,652,643.25.
Wagnon explained the project is for grading, draining and surfacing the roadway.
Wagnon reported the Engineer’s estimate on the project was $2,709,363.
She said the engineer will now tabulate the bids and make a recommendation at the commissioners’ next meeting at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19.
She said that meeting will take the place of the one scheduled for Monday, Nov. 23 and will be the last meeting for November.
