The number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 has increased by two in Lincoln County and by one in Pottawatomie County in the last few days, the Oklahoma State Department of Health reports.
The two latest deaths in Lincoln County are a male in the 65 and older age group and a male in the 36-40 age group. Pottawatomie County’s latest death is a female in the 65 and older age group, the OSDH said.
Over the past week the number of positive cases has continued to rise in both counties as well.
The number of deaths in Lincoln Coun ty as of Tuesday this week stands at 30. In Pottawatomie County that number is 25.
The number of new positive tests in Pottawatomie County jumped by 447 in the last week and in Lincoln County they increased by 197, according to figures provided by the OSDH.
Between the two counties, the number of positive tests has jumped by 644 in the last seven days.
Lincoln County’s number this week is 1,764. A week ago it was 1,567. Two weeks ago it was 1,374 the OSDH said.
The number of people testing positive for the virus in Pottawatomie County this week stands at 4,528. Last week it was 4,081. The county’s total two weeks ago was 3,682.
Total number of people testing positive in the two counties now stands at 6,292, according to the OSDH.
A week ago that number stood at 5,648. Two weeks ago the number was 5,056.
Total number of people who have recovered in the two counties is 5,338, according to OSDH figures. Statewide as of Tuesday 241,991 have tested positive, there have been 2,086 deaths and 206,896 who have recovered. Active cases stood at 33,009, the OSDH reports.
Last week there were 220,686 testing positive, there had been 1,922 deaths and 189,020 had recovered. There were 29,744 active cases a week ago.
This week on Tuesday, the OSDH reported 2,224 new positive cases.
