McLoud City Council members have adopted a resolution of a notice of election for the coming year.
The terms of three of the Council members come to an end in 2021.
City Manager Buck Day said they include Ward 3 Councilman Daniel McClure Jr., the newest council member; Ward 4 Councilman Steven Tomaszweski; and At-large Council member James Woods.
Day said the term for each seat is four years.
Patricia Carter, Assistant Secretary with the Pottawatomie County Election Board, confirmed the three-day filing period for the council seats is from Feb. 1-3 next year and the statutory General Election is scheduled for April 6, 2021.
The Council also approved the Central Oklahoma Economic Development District (COEDD) REAP grant notice of contract award. Day explained it’s a $47,500 grant to extend Kickapoo Street in McLoud on to Fish Market Road.
He said it will be an asphalt surface.
Council members also approved purchasing a Side by Side for $12,400 from Yamaha in Shawnee. Day said the bid was in the middle of those submitted.
To pay for the purchase, the Council approved a budget amendment of $12,400.
The Council also approved a $3,800 pay request/change order for November for a CDBG sewer line and a pay request/ change order of $8,947.80 for December on the same project.
In other action, the Council approved the 2021 holiday schedule for city employees.
Day stated the Council members briefly discussed city charters but took no action.
