A Lincoln County resident already facing three felonies and eight misdemeanors now faces several more felonies after three more cases were filed against him.
Kevin Michael Bryant, 39, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Jan. 14 with three felonies and eight misdemeanor counts and a $15,000 bench warrant was issued the same day, court records show.
Two weeks ago on Feb. 18, three more cases were filed in Lincoln County District Court charging him with seven additional felonies and five more misdemeanors.
Bryant was taken into custody by authorities on Jan. 15, although he allegedly resisted arrest and reportedly attempted to escape custody.
The three felony charges originally filed against Bryant in January include possession of firearm after felony conviction, knowingly receiving stolen property and unlawful use of a police radio.
The possession of firearm after former felony conviction accuses Bryant on Aug. 22, 2019, of possessing a Ruger M77 Hawkeye .204 caliber rifle in Lincoln County after having been convicted of Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) on Jan. 10, 2007, in Lincoln County and sentenced to five years.
The eight misdemeanors include seven counts of possession of illegal game/sale of game.
Each of those charges accuse him of having Whitetail Deer antlers with a portion of the skull still attached without having a permit to do so and a charge for possession of CDS. The charge states he was in possession of 11.46 grams of methamphetamine.
All of those charges Bryant faces accuse him of offenses he reportedly committed on Aug. 22, 2019.
In the first case filed against Bryant on Feb. 18, he is charged with felony escape from arrest or detention and a misdemeanor of resisting an officer. The felony accuses him of unlawfully exiting a patrol unit after being arrested for a warrant to escape detention on Jan. 15, 2021 in Lincoln County.
That’s the day after he was charged with the original three felonies and eight misdemeanors and the $15,000 bench warrant had been issued.
The misdemeanor accuses him of putting his hands under his body to avoid being handcuffed by Lincoln County Deputy Larry Stover on Jan. 15 and delaying Stover in the performance of his duties.
The second case filed against Bryant on Feb. 18 accuses him of the felonies of trafficking illegal drugs, possession of a firearm after former felony conviction, possession of firearm during commission of a felony, and unlawful use of a police radio.
The misdemeanors charge him with knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property and two counts of possession of illegal game/sale of game.

Bryant is accused of knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property by possessing a 6.5 Creedmore rifle that had been stolen on Jan. 15, 2021 in Lincoln County.
The two counts of possession of illegal game/sale of game charge him with possessing two whitetail deer that had not been legally harvested or tagged on Jan. 15, 2021 and possessing a wild turkey that had not been legally harvested or tagged on Jan. 15, 2021 in Lincoln County.
Supplemental information filed by Assistant District David Ball for after former conviction of two or more felonies states Bryant was convicted on Jan. 10, 2007 in Lincoln County of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance and sentenced to five years in prison and on the same day in another case in Lincoln County was convicted of another charge of CDS and also sentenced to five years in prison.
In the third case filed against Bryant on Feb. 18 of this year, he was charged with assault and battery on a police officer, knowingly concealing stolen property, both felonies, and obstructing an officer, a misdemeanor.
All three of these offenses reportedly occurred April 10, 2018.
The assault and battery count states Bryant, without justifiable or excusable cause, struck Stover with his elbow, knowing Stover was a deputy sheriff and performing his duties as a deputy.
He is also accused of concealing a Stihl Trimmer that had been stolen from Gary Shelton and concealing a Stihl weed eater that had been stolen from Timothy Kirkpatrick.
The obstructing an officer charge states Bryant obstructed Stover to prevent him from entry into a residence that Stover had a warrant to search.
Special Judge Emily Mueller has ordered that Bryant appear in court at 1:30 p.m. on May 6 regarding all three cases involving all of the various charges.
