Work began last week on 15th Street in Chandler, with a crew shown here just east of Manvel Avenue.
The construction project is a partnership between the Sac and Fox Nation and the City of Chandler.
The Sac and Fox Nation Business Committee dedicated $386,400 toward the reconstruction of 15th Street between US 66 and County Road EW 910 in Chandler. The Tribe’s federal transportation funds are being used as its contribution to this street improvement. The project’s total improvement cost is $541,400.
The city is responsible for the engineering design plans, right-of-way, utility relocation, environmental requirements, and construction management. Inspection services are being provided by the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
A Tech Construction of Del City was awarded the construction contract in the amount of $429,911.40. The project is scheduled to be completed by September, 2021.
