Peery receives the State Superintendents Award
Chandler’s Music Makers Choir received Sweepstakes for the 12th time in a row. The choir performed at Elk City High School where they competed on stage and in the sightreading room. They received Superior ratings with their Treble and Mixed ensembles and received the Distinguished Academic Achievement Award for having a 3.9 average GPA as a class. Shayla Peery, left, received the State Superintendents Award for Fine Arts, which is the highest fine arts award in the state of Oklahoma. The Music Makers include Jillian Anderson, Ethan Aucoin, Colton Burbach, Harley Cole, Lory Dugger, Samuel Duncan, Sydney Duncan, Sarah Goodman, Baylie Luschen, Emilee McGuire, Grace Myers, Laryssa Nunn, Shayla Peery, Anna Phillips, Brittany Robbins, Shayla Robbins, Trever Spruill, Destiney Stewart and Cassie Wright and are under the direction of Laura Watson, Mariah Moreno and Jana Telford.
