Donald Edward “Ed” Harris of Meeker was born December 4, 1937, in Meeker and died Saturday, April 17, 2021, at the age of 83 years.
He attended Meeker Public Schools and retired from AT&T. He was a member of Aydelotte Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents Tom P. and Lidia (Green) Harris and multiple brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Sonja Kay Harris, of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Clay Harris and Gene and Barbara Harris of Meeker; four grandchildren and their spouses; 17 greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Rimer and Sue Chesser; three brothers, Jack Harris, Sam Harris and Carl Harris; and other family and friends.
A graveside service was held Thursday, April 22, 2021, at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker under the direction of parks Brothers Funeral Service in Meeker.
