Barbara Louise Buchanan was born November 11, 1946, in Roswell, N.M. She died Friday, January 31, 2020, in Davenport at the age of 73 years.
Buchanan, the daughter of Arlen and Mammie (Treat) Green, married James Buchanan on June 3, 1961.
She was of the Pentecostal faith. Preceding her in death were her parents; her son David Buchanan; five siblings, Vernon Green, Charles Green, Richard Green, Arlene Hattenhauer, and Irene Fouts; one granddaughter and one great-grandson.
Survivors include her husband James of the home; her children and their spouses, Debbie and Scott Chaney of Lawton, Okla., Connie Buchanan of Kentucky, Allen and Becky Buchanan of Wellston; her daughter-in-law Theresa Buchanan of Chandler; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses, Polly and John Smith of Norman, Okla., Geneva Shannon of Oklahoma City, Carolyn and Ron Powell of Midwest City, Okla., Mary and Bo Hatfield of Chandler; and Tommy Green of Luther, Okla.; and other family and friends.
A funeral was held Monday, February 3, 2020, in the chapel of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston, which handled the final arrangements. The Rev. David Mitchell officiated and burial followed at Davenport Cemetery.
