David Frank Kelsay of Meeker was born April 18, 1948, in Fort Worth, Texas. He died Sunday, February 23, 2020, in Edmond, Okla., at the age of 71 years.
Kelsay, the son of Clyde Bruce and Margaret Katheryn (Little) Kelsay, married Jean Padgett on December 26, 1979, in Nashville, Tenn.
He served in the United States Army and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Education from Vanderbilt University in Nashville. He retired as a senior engineer from General Motors in Oklahoma City.
He was a member of Presbyterian Church in Meeker.
Survivors include his wife Jean P. Kelsay of Meeker; his son Dray Morgan of Las Vegas, Nev.; his daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Paul Fenemore of Meeker; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 29, 2020, at First Presbyterian Church in Chandler with Pastor Bruce Newby officiating. Burial followed at Resthaven Cemetery in Shawnee, Okla., under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
