1. Update on Glenncrest Park

A. Adventure World has resolved the problem with grass growing through the original matting.

They came in and removed the mulch and matting, replaced the matting with new and then replaced the mulch.

Inspection has shown no grass.

B. Dolese concrete denied us any sponsorship for concrete material for our parking lot.

So I rewrote the letter and sent it to Van Eaton concrete and they are going to donate all 100 yards of concrete for our parking lot.

Value approximately $14,000. Rempel concrete from Prague would not return our calls.

C. I met today with the concrete finisher Britches Ryerson and he will let us know tomorrow when his crew will start. The lot measures 96’ x 82’ approx. 16 parking spots with two handicapped spots will be striped off.

D. Flower beds are in place with rock borders.

2. Update on Growth & Development

A. Aaron received all the receipts and paperwork for the Meeker Pumpkin Festival and will have us numbers for the November meeting.

This year’s festival included a car show along with the parade and it is being told this was the largest and longest parade ever had in Meeker.

Also, it is being reported, the most people to be in Meeker. All food vendors sold out at approx. 3:00 PM.

3. Update on Festival of Lights, “X-mas parade”

A. Santa is booked to be here.

B. Jim Marak will provide the X-mas tree. He also brought more lighting for the tree.

C. The Round Club will sponsor the parade and will provide the bags of candy with an apple and an orange. Our ladies at City Hall will put the bags of candy together.

5. Update on T-Set

A. The bike route signs will be placed on Culver St. from Hwy. 62 South to the elementary school on the East and West side of the street.

This will fulfill the obligation for the Gold level for the $14,000 of T-set money. This $14K plus the $22K we gave already received for a total of $36K from the Tobacco Settlement.

6. Update on Sewer & Water

A. Jerri Hargis, Manager of Projects & Operation, called & let us know she has completed & turned in the final paperwork on our 1.7 million grant for our sewer project.

B. D.E.Q. Mark Velasquez completed our 2020 sewer plant inspection and we scored a perfect score.

He did make one suggestion for us to get some epoxy on the concrete at the clarifier. That is quite a success story from where we came from.

C. Discussion with D.E.Q. about organizing a woodchipper for the Town of Meeker has been started with Mark Velasquez.
